THE MAGNETTES

The Magnettes were formed in Pajala, a small town above the Arctic Circle in Sweden, close to the Finnish border. This region has a minority language called Meänkieli, a language that was forbidden in Sweden until 1957 and today is spoken by only around 50,000 people. The Magnettes celebrate their roots and have adapted Meänkieli and their old folk music into a modern sound often called 21st Century glitter punk or electro pop. The band have already released 5 singles and performed in over 10 different countries. Their debut album “Ugly Youth” is due on June 30th.

After the spectacular ‘Killers In A Ghost Town’, Swedish duo The Magnettes came back last month with a brand new single. It’s ‘Hollywood’ – a super-kitsch electropop track that’s bursting with retro campery yet brimming with Scandi cool. There’s nothing else out there right now that sounds like this! - Scandipop

Swedish pop trio, The Magnettes are throwing a party for everyone who feels like they are having a bad day or week and want to throw it right back at the world. "Sad Girls Club" is their way of fighting back at all of the things in the world trying to bring them down. - Musictimes

CALVA LOUISE

Calva Louise fuse surfy riffs to fuzzy grunge pop. They’ve been heavily tipped as one of the 'Bands to watch in 2017' and called “the greatest indie rock band around right now” by The Metro. Having toured with Spring King they’re really making a name for themselves.

"Not only are they near-impossibly tight while taking most of their cues from fast-tempo US punk (think Dead Kennedys rather than Ramones), frontwoman Jess Allanic’s surf-rock guitar solos are pin-precise." - DIY Mag

KNITES

Knites are a 3-piece band from London comprised of Andy, Rob and Ben. Combining 3 piece rock elements with electronic/pop influences creates KNITES unique sound, which has already proved popular with fans. Forming in 2015, KNITES have achieved a number of personal goals in a short space of time. From their distinctive songwriting they soon attracted attention from many of the major labels and have been working on material in London's EMI Studios, as well as receiving worldwide airplay from the likes of BBC and KRCW Radio. From first release ‘Set Me Right’ KNITES made a mark.
