ASIAN CHAIRSHOT
Asian Chairshot are one of Korea’s hottest rock bands. They perform ‘Rock’, western style, while strongly expressing Korean melody. Their name is derived from a wrestling foul, and their sound has little trouble stopping people dead in their tracks. Smashing Pumpkins helped them break through at last year's SXSW- describing their sound as ‘Black Sabbath playing Radiohead’.
They are winners of KBS's 'Top Band 3' and 'Best Rock Song' at Korean Music Awards.
They've performed at Liverpool Sound City, Korea, JisanVally Rock Music&Arts Festival, Japan's PeaceFull Love Rock Festival, Singapore's Music Matters and Mosaic Festival.
NICK ASLAM
Nick is one of the UK’s most original sounding singer songwriters. Through spending time with producer Martin "Youth" Glover, Nick has been able to develope his own unique sound. Now he is armed with his Rebel City Revival band and a new new EP 'Crime for Thought' he's ready to hit back. Hungry from the council estates and streets of Burton On Trent he continues his quest in the music industry with growing support from the BBC, local radio stations and bloggers across the nation. Nick's sound has grown through the acoustic roots of Country and Indie, holding a maturity in his song writing which has been compared to the grit of Cash meeting the romance of Richard Hawley, Nick Aslam and his band are spectacular live.
"He has a tremendous stage presence, you need to see him!" Dean Jackson (BBC)
"Nick is a smooth blend of Andy Williams & Roger Whitacker meets Jake Bugg. These are pioneering times, Nick could be what we are looking for" - Martin ‘Youth’ Glover
D.B COHEN
D.B Cohen's brass laden sound is described by his producer Mark ‘Snowboy’ Cotgrove as 'modern roots music' D.B Cohen sounds like a cross between Paul Weller, Ray Davies, Chicago Blues and Two Tone Ska'
Expect hard hitting lyrics and a huge sound from the troubadour from south London.
EAT YOUR GREENS
Eat Your Greens is an exciting new band with a truly global sound. Their worldwide reggae-rock epics have caught the hungry ears of listeners from far and wide, but it is their live shows where they really shine.
Proud to be the purveyors of the kind of electric energy that will rock even the sleepiest of venues, they have the international festival scene well within their sights. With their charismatic Uruguayan frontman, they manage to bring together a Manu Chau-Esc Spanish charm, with a surprising rock rawness that can be labelled truly global, without being caught in ‘world music’.
With the help of some talented producers, their studio sound is hot on the heels of their live prowess, and they will be releasing their debut album in 2017. In the meantime, though they continue to fill local and national venues, spreading their reggae-rock euphoria to the masses.
