KNITES
KNITES unique sound is created by combining 3 piece rock elements with electronic and pop influences. Think The 1975 meets Arctic Monkeys flavoured sultry alt sound with a dash of rock ‘n’ roll blues thrown in for good measure. They are now proud to put this straight into their overdue and heartfelt second single, Could Have Lied.
Forming at the end of 2014, KNITES are a 3 man band from London. Having been together for less than a year they have already achieved so much, having attracted the attention of London’s EMI Studios where they have been working on their second single. They have also received widespread airplay, from BBC Introducing to KRCW Radio with ‘Set Me Right’, showing that with their debut single they had already made a mark.
Just because they have the label of ‘new kids on the block’ does not mean they aren’t packed with experience, with KNITES members having toured throughout the UK and Europe, supporting the likes of The Enemy, Example and Young Knives being few amongst many.
"Oozing catchy alt-rock sounds, it’s a pumping, heartfelt track that will no doubt get stuck in your ears and leave you wanting more." - Gigslutz
"The dark lyrics compliment the upbeat sound this song has to make this a standout track and KNITES have nailed it with their latest single." - Rock and Roll Creations
"That stadium rock feel is something KNITES may have to get used to playing." - Secret Sound Shop

THE UNDIVIDED
They're appearance at Discovery coincides with the release of 'Invincible' produced by Dan Weller (Sikth). Word is spreading about this band with support and opening slots for Ash, The Xcerts, Kids in Glass Houses, The Dirty Youth and IDivide , praise coming from Kerrang!, Rock Sound, NME and XFM, to name but a few. As a result of US and Canadian College radio airplay the band have been awarded a CMJ radio distinction. Soaring guitar chords launch from atop punishing riffs, shuddering bass lines that carry the rhythms forward, and sledgehammer drumbeats underpin a combination of harmony and electricity.
“The Undivided have a knack for writing anthemic songs as big as the mountains that overshadow their hometown of Abergavenny” Kerrang Magazine
“The Undivided, delivering an onslaught of post-hardcore goodness” Rock Sound Magazine

ADAM CLEAVER
A captivating alternative folk artist. He' worked with Matt Harris (HAWK) on Man or Beast creating a beautiful, organic sound prevalent throughout the EP. Adam has received support from BBC 6Music’s Lauren Laverne who featured The Salt Mine as her ‘Headphones Moment’ as well as playing the track multiple times on her show. The Salt Mine has also been featured on Clash, Amazing Radio and John Kennedy’s XFM. Filled with rumbling drum beats, anthemic riffs and Adam’s entrancing vocals, Man or Beast is an enthralling listen from start to finish. Think Fleet Foxes meets Hozier but with Adam’s signature sweet, beguiling vocals.
"A voice capable of swooping up into the heavens." - CLASH

HELENE GREENWOOD
Helene Greenwood is a London based songwriter who grew up in Dover. She received positive reviews on the release of Collectable You her debut album in 2013, produced by Callum McCall, with radio pays on regional BBC shows and Gary Crowleys show. She released the single 'Flat Roof House 'in August and her cover of “I Say A Little Prayer” will be celebrated at the 229 as it is released the next day. These are from her second album which will be released early 2016.
Influenced by dream pop the songs retrieve ethereal moments of the past and present which can at times merge into darker distorted horror movie scores. Using analogue synth sounds, processed samples and live performance its a journey from the domestic world to journeying outside, gazing in wonder at the pebbles on the beach and singing in a state of awe from inside the moon.
“Capturing all the playfulness and innocence of Bjork and wrapping it in a dreamy, minimalist indie-pop bubble” Dancing on Architecture
“One to watch” from Martin Townsend’s 4 star review for Collectable You- Sunday Express

Shelly Ravid and her band play Reggae with a modern edge - combined with her political, hard-hitting lyrics. She have been busy gigging around London for the past 3 years, as well as collaborating with critically acclaimed Dub producer Indica Dubs and together they have toured Italy, France and Belgium and played festivals such as Reggaebus and One Love with their song ‘Guide You’ which was played on BBC Radio Lancashire shortly after release.
